FISP Chairman’s Annual Report 2013 – 2014

The FISP Annual report reviews work to date and our plans for building further informed inputs for UK policy developers in matters of advanced digital infrastructures and their enabling impacts across all sectors of the economy.

The primary objective of FISP is to formulate inputs for policy and regulatory development in the UK with the over-riding objective of encouraging maturity in the digitalised economy – the ‘Information Society’. The Foundation objectives in furthering the development of the UK’s increasingly digitalised economy are to:

  • Identify and illuminate significant policy issues pertaining to the Information Society;
  • Raise awareness of critical opportunities for the Information Society ;
  • Provide guidance for policy developers and regulatory agencies as regards Information Society issues;
  • Inform a wider public of the way the Information Society will increasingly impact their work and life.
